CONSOLIDATED NEWS...

Industrial Services – Theo’s grassroots!

At 18 years of age, I got in a small car and travelled from Adelaide to Port Hedland; after 2 weeks of reticulation work with the council, I landed an Industrial Services Operator job with Colex (now known as Veolia). Within two years, I was a supervisor, living the Industrial Services dream operating/ supervising King Vac vacuum trucks. It’s dirty and manually intensive work, but it instilled in me the values of dedication and commitment. 13 years on, I have purchased multiple vacuum trucks to expand CCS Rentals Pty Ltd TA Consolidated Group, EK Contracting, Consolidated Transport Services diverse services. Our Industrial Services team is ready to help you with your project needs. We can supply Supervisors, Operators, King Vacs, High-Pressure Water Blasting setups, and more. Reach out today to discuss.

EK Contracting supplied a FIFO and DIDO crew, which consisted of skilled supervisors, experienced plant operators, and hose hands, to provide site clean-up services at a Pilbara mine site. Our Mine Service teams offered a comprehensive solution for equipment, labour, and mechanical services to ensure that the mine’s production facility met and exceeded all operational requirements. In addition, we actively engaged with the local Indigenous Port Hedland community and actively promoted gender equity. Through deep involvement in our client’s operations, we were able to deliver an authentic, personalized, and highly effective site clean-up service.

R U OK? Day & MATES 2024

Consolidated Group and our employees helped recognised R U OK Day in collaboration with MATES In Construction #flytheflag2024 by undertaking an artistic team activity by working together on a R U Ok themed piece of artwork that will end up in our new meeting room. It was wonderful to see the different pieces of art and what it means to each of our people what R U Ok? can mean to them on a personal level. The amount of input from every person who took part was wonderful to see and the end results will be displayed with pride by all involved.

You can always reach out to a MATE and ask R U Ok? it is not limited to one day a year. MATES in Construction advocate for mental health in construction and do a fantastic job in doing this. We help recognise their impact by flying our flag all week.

Pink Trailer Launch!

Sandon WA, our non-profit, also officially launched our Powering Women project, connecting those entering the resource sector or wanting to advance with other female CEOs, Directors, and leaders. When amazing things happen, it’s a team approach. The official ribbon cutting and opening for the Powering Women Project was conducted by Hon. Sue Ellery, BA MLC Leader in the Legislative Council in the Parliament of WA, and she is the Minister for Finance, Commerce, and Women’s Interests. Max Clarke, CEO at Breast Cancer Care WA, said, “The pink truck initiative is simply awesome, and it was a privilege to come along to the launch event. Your generosity goes a long way in helping people impacted and affected by breast cancer.” We look forward to a long-lasting relationship supporting breast cancer care in WA.

Indigenous Art!

Consolidated Group of Companies celebrates Rayne, a young artist passionate about Indigenous artwork. He has always been drawn to the rich cultural traditions of his ancestors and has expressed these traditions through his art. So, he jumped at the chance to create artwork for the group’s log and on-sea containers, which would be used as mechanical storage containers on a Pilbara mine site. Our logos are surrounded by Indigenous symbols that represent our brand, including equipment, training the next generation, community, and growth. Each container Rayne painted is unique, and we hope the artwork will be admired by workers and visitors and serve as a powerful reminder of the beauty and importance of Indigenous culture and traditions.

We are 10!

This year, 2023, Consolidated Group turns 10, and  Director and Founder Theo Tsorvas reflects on the past 10 years.

The last decade has flown, but at the same time, there were times when I didn’t even know if we would move forward. We started as an equipment hire business. I could manage this solo, but when we began offering operators for the equipment, we saw an opportunity to diversify into mining, civil, transport, mechanical, training, defence and screening. Fast forward 10 years, and I have achieved more than I ever anticipated. I have built a dedicated management team, training them with my vision for the company, and collectively, we now employ 40plus people across multiple business sectors. I would like to thank my staff, including those who have moved on. I attribute our success to all of you and look forward to seeing what we can achieve in the next 10.

ISO certification!

Consolidated Group recently underwent an ISO accreditation in HSE, Environmental & Quality Standards. Thank you to S&J Consulting, Shenae and Scott, who assisted us in getting our ISO 9001,14001 & 45001 system ready for auditor Peter from QCSE. When you hear auditing, accreditation and standards to comply with many SMES would panic, but the process was positive. Yes, we had to change things and make improvements but these will trickle down to our clients who will receive the benefits of these changes. The process was definitely a learning curve for our whole team but will ensure our business is equipped with the right systems for rapid growth to internally manage all aspects to a high standard. We all agree George is now safer, greener and better! Bring on the bigger projects we can now tender for. Shout out to EK Contracting who went through the same process and have also obtained their certification.
