Project Detail

The scope included excavation of eroded embankments, removal of debris, reinstatement of rip rap, and installation of approximately 77 metres of Type V1 V-drain. Works were mobilised using our in-house transport division and executed with a full equipment package including excavator, truck, roller, positrack and water cart, delivered within a 3-day site duration under S26 supervision.

The project was operated under a lump sum contract where the client identified potential scope increases mid-programme. Rather than defaulting to a contract position, our team proactively communicated with the client and committed to absorbing any additional works achievable within the existing timeframe at no extra cost. A pre-agreed day rate was established upfront to cover any overrun, ensuring full cost transparency for both parties throughout delivery.

Works were completed on time and to specification. The collaborative approach to scope management was well received by the client and has supported an ongoing working relationship.
