Defence Industry – Secure Base Crushing Works

Jakarli Group Services was engaged to undertake concrete processing and crushing works within a secure Defence base in Western Australia, supporting broader upgrades to Defence aviation infrastructure. The project required specialist crushing capability alongside stringent personnel, plant, security, induction and mobilisation requirements associated with working within an operational Defence environment.
Jakarli Group Services was engaged to deliver concrete processing and crushing services as part of infrastructure upgrade works within a secure Defence facility in Western Australia. The scope involved the supply of specialist plant and experienced operators to pre-process stockpiled concrete before crushing the material to a specified maximum particle size of 40 mm. Jakarli was also responsible for routine maintenance of its crushing and processing equipment throughout the works.
A key complexity of the project was operating within a secure Defence base environment. Mobilising personnel and equipment required significantly more planning than a conventional civil or crushing project, with workers, plant and equipment required to satisfy project-specific induction, mobilisation, training and competency requirements before commencing work.
Access to the Defence Estate was tightly controlled. Personnel and visitors were required to enter through approved access points, with temporary visitors and pass holders requiring escorts by appropriately authorised personnel while moving around the base. This required Jakarli to carefully plan workforce selection and onboarding well ahead of mobilisation to ensure the right people could be cleared, inducted and ready when required.
The project demonstrated Jakarli’s ability to combine mobile crushing capability with the governance, workforce planning and compliance systems required for secure and highly controlled worksites. It further strengthened our experience supporting the Defence industry and our capacity to mobilise specialist plant and personnel into complex operational environments.
